The Hay Festival Empty The Hay Festival

Post by PatrickR Wed May 27, 2009 1:36 pm

Yesterday, I got in the car and drove to the town of Hay-on-Wye, in Powys, just over the Welsh border. Some, if not all of you (one would hope all of you Razz) know why it was I was there: For The Hay-On-Wye Guardian Literary Festival.

'Twas a good day, seeing something with Marcus Brigstocke and another thing with a famous trumpeter from South Africa. All good stuff. Not to mention me finding five volumes of the complete Edmund Burke, published and printed in the year 1801. Go me.

I was wondering if anyone else went or has been recently.

I would've loved to go if I had heard of it.
Can't believe I haven't heard of it.

So there are loads of books for sale there?
Please tell me more!
