Incoming changes in the Economy module

Post by indielfi on Tue Apr 12, 2011 10:07 am

New buildings available on Day 1,245

Starting with Day 1,245 of the New World, citizens of eRepublik will be able to construct on their land new mines and new farms in order to obtain the new raw materials: rubber, oil, aluminum, saltpeter, fruits, cattle, fish, deer.

Very important: As food and weapons currently consume only grain and iron, an one-time-only migration possibility will be activated for all current raw materials companies (Grain, Iron, Stone, Oil), to migrate into any raw material company.

Along with the availability of creating the new types of buildings, working in Stone, House, Hospital, Defense System and Moving Tickets will no longer be possible.

An on-time-only migration possibility will also be activated for House, Hospital, Defense System and Moving Tickets companies to migrate into Food or Weapons companies.

Advice: Plan your work carefully in order to make sure you remain with as less as possible queue (started, but unfinished, product) in these companies. All queue will be reset when the migration of each company is activated.

Next month, these new raw materials will start being used when producing food and weapons in upgraded food and weapon factories.

In the near future, I'll write also a public "Questions and Answers" post.

You can help me make sure that I won't be missing any important information by replying here with what your inquires would be.

--missing info--

citizens will have to pay 20 currencies per zone when moving, old stocks in storage can still be used even when changes are implemented already

Sounds like an over complication. Does this mean a Q5 has to have all those things shown just to produce one unit, or can those units substitute for each other in production?

I think so. That's why I said the changes sound like war.

We can still have grain company in ePH even we don't have grain region. Just like now. So don't worry. :)

This really doesn't make that much sense, fish regions are the most populous in the world and yet they are only required to make Q4's?

The system they set up is really weird.

Doesn't seem like this should have a huge impact on most people. I just have a 2 grain, one Q2 food setup so all I have to do is migrate one grain to fruit and I'm all set. I figure its the situation for most folks. Even with more complicated personal companies I think the change is really just to encourage more war.

Plus, reasons for war will be funnier "We're gonna go over there, and we're going to take all their deer!"

Having a grain region just gives you bonuses as far as I know. ;)
