Presidential Elections

12 days seams like a long ways away, but it's really more like 7 days until the CP elections since you have to have the candidacy endorsed in game by June 2nd, and I would like to hold a primary that will end on June 1st at noon eRep time.

Here's how the primary will work. Starting today anyone who in the PPP can nominate who they would like to see run for President, and anyone (even if you are not in the PPP) can state their intentions to run. Non-PPP members can not nominate someone. On May 28th I will start a GDocs poll and along with a member of my choosing (a trustworthy member of the party) and we will monitor it to make sure only PPP members vote in the poll and we make sure the PPP actually sent in that vote with a PM confirmation on eRepublik. This will run until June 1 at noon eRep time, and at that time my newspaper will announce the winner of our primary. The winner of the primary will then be nominated in game, and the honor of the official PPP candidate for Philippine President!

On May 26th I will PM the entire party this thread after the congressional election.

So PPP nominate away and CP candidates, announce your intentions to run.

Go Sigurd go! And yes, that is a nomination for Sigurd Aasen. Idk how busy he'll be next month though.

I may be a Zombie, but I would like to see an Active Presidential candidate run this time around. Right now it is the heat of Finals for most people and not many are active. With Summer Coming up not many may find to time to log on each day. I personally would like to see each Party nominate a Candidate for the Month of June.

From the PPP I would like to "recommend" Kyle and Sigurd to try their chances at running for a Term. It would be great to see either one of these two run. Until your Primary is finished I can only wait and see how this plays plays out.

It's nice to be mentioned for this. I'm not 100% sure if I want to run, but I'd like to hear some more nominations.

I must reject this nomination, as I have exams which will render me inactive for pretty much the first two weeks of my term, which is not desirable.

I do, however, propose indielfi or Jude Connors, to run for the position.

I have been busy, but I have more time now. If I am considered, I would accept the nomination.

I'm WAY behind (thanks a lot girlfriend for visiting and taking up all my time with fun times in Chicago and the Indiana Dunes and a microbrewery pub crawl!) So I'm mailing these out TODAY with the stipulation that all responses must be in by June 2nd at 18:00 eRep time.

Sorry to the Candidates, since this won't give you a ton of time to campaign, but it should be substantial enough since the election is on the 5th.
