I have 2 concerns:

1) I think the Congress Sign In should be a public post so the congress newbies who do not have access yet to our super secured and restricted "Congress Building" can sign in and ask for permissions, right? [not sure about this though since I still have access to the restricted area but isn't The Philippine Congress itself is restricted? If so the Congress Sign In under that is also restricted :-P]

2) Open Letter to ePH Congress

Hello ePhilippines Congress,

First of all, congratulations! Well done :)

As a former member of Congress, I am a little concern on what I am seeing now. It's only been 3 days since the election and there are already 11 Law Proposals, most of which are not properly discussed or lulz. Also, majority of the newly elected congress have not signed in yet or have been asked to sign in.

I think we are slowly reverting to the old days, pre-PTO era. From what I'm seeing, our congress is all over the place right now. We should not be too complacent just because we have 2 terms without PTO threat. Remember, we can be a target of PTO anytime and some of them (PTOers) are still around. If we continue to be this disorganize it won't be a surprise if we are faced with the same problem again in the future.

Safeguarding our country is a responsibility of every ePH citizens (that's why I'm butting in xD) and more so of the elected congressmembers. We should all be vigilant. Let's get our act together! Gogogo!

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

I completely agree, especially with the Sign-Up forum, that at least needs to be visible for newbie congress members. Hopefully as Jootli said, the problem is now fixed.

The sign in area is a public area. I have set it that way since I created that forum.

Suggestions:

- We should make a practice of starting a discussion for every serious Law Proposals then encourage other congressmembers to participate in the discussion by sending them the link through in-game messaging, asking for their inputs. I think this will remind them of their responsibility as congressmembers and at the same time telling them that their participation are important.

- Always put the link of the discussion in the Debate Area when proposing a law.

If you have other suggestions, please do not hesitate to add.

Congress sign in is the outgoing speaker's job. But then Hekter quit and i suppose most of the congressmen who won this time are newbs or at least in this forum. It would have been better if the outgoing speaker pm'ed the newly elected ones to sign in here and start the nomination right away. It should have been 24hours nomination and 24hours poll. Exclusively for the elected peeps.

Congrats to all who won and Klim bless the ePhilippines.
